Franklin G. (Greg) Fisk did many things in his life and you may have known him in any number of ways.

He was an inspiring educator to his students at Western Michigan University. As an amateur, he passionately supported contemporary classical music.

Greg was raised in the oil town of El Dorado, Kansas and worked in the railyards as a teenager with his brother Tom. He never lost his Kansas accent.

Just after getting his B.S. in Chemistry from University of Kansas, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War at Fort Riley, Kansas, where the general hand-picked him to be his private chef. From that experience he was an excellent and adventurous home cook, introducing his family to many of the foods he tasted during his travels.

Greg was a devoted family man and took his family on cross-country trips during his summers off. Arguably, he took his family to see every major zoo in the continental United States.

Greg was a long-time active member of First Baptist Church of Kalamazoo and served in many ways.

Please share with us your personal stories and memories of Greg Fisk.
